My name is Mike, and I am the founder of Antipodean English Language School. I've been providing consulting services and training related to the English language in Hong Kong since 1997.

I work with a range of clients in the legal and education professions, and many others, on projects such as developing complex documents, training teachers for professional qualifications and developing marketing materials.

Hi all, my name is Mark and I’ve lived in Hong Kong since 1993, working in import/export until a couple of years ago, when I decided to take up tutoring English full time.

During my years in business I was constantly tutoring my staff in the use of English and that is where my enjoyment, and satisfaction, in tutoring began. My formal tutoring got underway ten years ago with primary students, taking them all of the way through to successfully gaining university acceptance; at the same time I tutored English to adult students, some seeking conversational English, some seeking business conversation and writing, both formal and informal, some seeking to improve their presentation skills … All of which have lead me to joining the team at Antipodean.

My special interest is in the spoken and written word; the choice of the best word for the job-in-hand and the best way to deliver that word.
